CAMPAIGN BUZZ

March 15, 2019

The Hidden Palms will be Fidencio's next event to engage the community

Community engagement is more than a term for Fidencio. He has been discussing the importance of investing in a community project that will discover what matters most to the citizens of Santa Fe for over a year. His campaign is unique and like no other because he has combined traditional campaigning with his experience as a community engagement facilitator and practitioner. Join us on Monday, April 15th at The Hidden Palms as we build on the engagement efforts from the Campaign Kick-Off with a Visioning Session facilitated by your candidate.

Santa Fe comes out in support with over 60 in attendance at Fidencio's Kick-Off

The Campaign Kick-Off was hosted at Haak Winery on a busy Thursday evening with youth sports, and the open house for parents in SFISD but the event still drew current and past elected officials, Veterans, firefighters, teachers, students, and community leaders with over 60 in attendance. Supporters and guests were greeted by Host Committee members requesting their direct participation with four engagement boards.

A large map of the Santa Fe city limits allowed attendees to place a sticker on their street. As they entered the covered patio area, they had the opportunity to respond to three questions by placing their input on a Posted Note and sticking it on each board. A Santa Fe senior Jorge Ramos II took the stage as the MC and introduced freshmen Varsity Choir member Hannah Tucker to sing the National Anthem. Fidencio shortly after took the stage and received numerous cheers and applauses as he addressed the crowd with his vision for Santa Fe.

His parents, Fidencio and Lorenza, as well as his two brothers Juan and Rey, where in attendance.

The support continued with his in laws Ricky and Elizabeth Tibaldo, local business owners of Tibaldo's Feed & Supply, showing their support. His wife's grandparents Richard"'Dicky" Pearson, Air Force Veteran, and Beverly Pearson embraced the event with their presence. After filing, Fidencio acknowledged the importance of having family support with a brief speech highlighting leadership and being a good example for his community but more importantly for his children.
